Photo-voltaic power system

The photo-voltaic power system is a 2.09kW per hour system, which means that it will generate about 2.926MW's in a year. We have purchased the system from PowerSmart in Tauranga and more information is available on their website - http://powersmartsolar.co.nz/

I'm still not totally sure what our power load will be in the house, but with all of our lights being LED, with the Digital Self Heating House system for all hot water and with other smart devices like the induction hobs we should have a load significantly less than an average home.

The pv panels are at the highest point of the roof, (see photo below) and are sunrise panels - for more info see the attached link. http://www.srsolartech.cn/

We will be monitoring the power generated and the amount being used by the house once we are finished.

This is the inverter and connection box to the grid. This is mounted in the garage.
From here we can monitor the amount of kW's produced each day, the amount used by the house and the excess that has gone to grid.

The connection to Meridian Energy will occur shortly and the system will start powering into the grid before we move in. We should have quite a few credits by the time we start.
